Deep in Learning. Deep in Christ
Veritas will fulfill its mission by maintaining dual accreditation and having a degreed and certified faculty and administration that model Christlike character and instill a love of learning. Veritas will impart a high standard of biblically-integrated core knowledge and skills by drawing on the best of varied curricula and current technology, using a classical method of teaching tailored to a child’s development. Parental engagement is foundational.
The philosophy of Veritas Christian Academy of Houston is based on a Christ-centered view that all truth is from God and that the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible word of God, the final authority on matters of life and thought.
Students are taught that they are uniquely, fearfully and wonderfully created in the image of God. They are taught to develop a biblical worldview that integrates Christian truth in all areas of learning. Students develop a godly perspective on humanity and the development of culture, articulating their faith in a compelling and effective way to influence the world for Christ.
Rooted in our Christian faith and grounded in the love of learning itself, Veritas offers a challenging, time-tested liberal arts program of study within a nurturing environment that encourages serious scholarship, independence of thought and clarity of expression. Veritas strives to develop intellectual excellence through the academic disciplines in every planned curricular activity. The goal of every learning experience is to enable students to reach their full potential in Christ.
We hold firm to the truth that education is the primary responsibility of parents. Veritas serves as an extension of the Christian home, actively seeking to involve parents in every phase of the student's development. Home and school will seek to cooperate with each other to maximize the process of Christian education.
To accomplish our task we seek students who are eager to learn and willing to work; parents who are partners in our task; and educators who are lifelong learners, called and gifted to teach and prepared to match precept with example.
