Welcome New Families

Welcome to Veritas!

We are thrilled that your family will be joining our vibrant and caring community! We’ve created this webpage to serve as a resource in the months leading up to the start of the 2017-2018 school year. You’ll be able to find the school calendar, information about lunch, uniforms, and other helpful information as you prepare to join the Veritas community in August.  Joining a new school comes with a great deal of happiness and trepidation, and its common for students and parents to feel a bit nervous.  There’s always the feeling of “What happens next?”.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We’re here to help you as you become a part of our community.

Morning care is available from 7:00-8:00am, and our After School Program is available from 3:45-6:00pm.  The instructional hours for the school day is 8:00am-3:15.
The involvement of parents in the daily life is welcomed. Each teacher and grade level will have different ways in which parents can participate in the classroom. Assisting with field trips, helping with class parties and special events, listening to students read, and helping with special projects and activities are a few ways that parents become involved in the classroom.  Parent volunteers will find additional ways to be involved through our Parent Teacher Fellowship.  Please contact PTF@veritasca.org for more information.

You will be able to retrieve any lost items in our lost and found bin in the gym.  The bin is labeled ‘Lost & Found’.

Depending on your questions, the most exhaustive resource for information is our Parent/Student Handbook.  The handbook plus our website contains much information about the school and its activities.  If you cannot find an answer to your question(s), please contact your child’s teacher.

You can email either your child’s teacher(s) or the office to find out about missed assignments.
