Parent Teacher Fellowship

PTF stands for Parent Teacher Fellowship, a vital necessity in Christian education!

Veritas Christian Academy serves as an extension of the Christian home, actively seeking to involve parents and guardians in every phase of the student’s development.

PTF provides an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together for the best interests of the children. PTF is a very important part of Veritas Christian Academy and we urge all parents to participate by attending PTF meetings and volunteering for PTF activities and events.

What are the objectives of PTF?

  1. To enhance communication, understanding and unity among school administration, faculty and parents and to inform parents of relevant school issues.
  2. To promote the welfare and Christian growth of every child by bringing into close relationship the home and the school so parents and teachers can work together in the training of the child.
  3. To support the administration and assist in the development of educational and spiritual opportunities within Veritas.
  4. To offer Veritas parents many and varied opportunities for involvement and fun. Recent activities have included:
    • Annual Auction
    • Chili Cook Off
    • Book Fair
    • History/Science Fair
    • Fine Arts Night
    • Family Day
    • Teacher Appreciation Luncheons
    • Organization of school and class celebrations
    • Help on field trips

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” -Matthew 18:20
PTF also has a dedicated group of parents that  meet on Fridays at 8:15 a.m. at the school. They spend an hour praying for the students, faculty and administration needs. Feel free to join them any week!

For more questions about the prayer group please contact Mayanique Manning through the school office.

Why should I be involved with PTF?

  1. God has ordained that parents are the primary educators of our children. Studies have shown that parents’ involvement in the Parent-Teacher Fellowship gives their children a greater chance of achieving in school.
  2. As a PTF member, you are more likely to be an informed and involved parent.

We encourage you to contact the PTF leadership listed below to learn more about how you can be involved. They can be reached at
