Dear Veritas Families,
As we approach the close of this first semester, I want to celebrate and share the exceptional work happening within our middle school program and highlight our middle school faculty. This pivotal stage in a child’s education highlights the beauty and effectiveness of classical Christian education. Whether your student(s) are currently in middle school or you want to know what the future holds for your Early Ed or Lower School child(ren), the opportunities in our middle school program provide a compelling vision of what lies ahead in their educational journey at Veritas.
Our middle school program has always stood out for its rigor, depth, and focus on developing well-rounded students. Historically, our graduates have been welcomed into some of Houston’s most prestigious high schools. The Class of 2024 continues this tradition of excellence, as seen in this year’s high school matriculation:

How does Veritas compare to other independent schools?
- In the spring of 2024, 85% of our 1st-8th grade students performed at or above the norm for independent schools on the ERB CTP, a challenging standardized test used by top schools nationwide.
- Our school’s performance surpasses the independent school average of 77%, highlighting the academic excellence of Veritas students. As we aim to close the gap and reach 90% or more, we are confident that our recent curriculum enhancements in Lower and Middle Schools will support this goal.
If you have any questions about our middle school curriculum and instruction, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. Dewhurst at [email protected]. All other middle school questions may be directed to Mrs. El-Issa at [email protected].
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, we are shaping the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and faithful servants of Christ.
Soli Deo gloria,
Kim Berger
